Christophe:

I do not know where the black and white photos were taken or the color of the Corvette. These were publicity photos taken and distributed by GM when the cars were new. The photos did not contain any info on location.

Glad you enjoyed the photos and thank you for your comments.

I have a 56 vette date codes all matching! The car paint is now venetian red with white coves... but.... I believe the correct paint combo should be a rare venetian red with TAN coves. I can't find much about this particular paint combo. What do you think? Thanks, Tom.

I've never seen a Venetian Red with Tan coves, all were with white coves. But that doesn't mean that it didn't happen. What leads you to believe it originally had tan coves?

Photo permission
Hi,

I'm working on a classic car event and will have a 1956 Corvette on display. Do I have your permission to use photos from this website AND are there other photos, videos of both 1956 and 2006 Corvettes that are in the public domain that I can use? Need a response ASAP as the event is August 19. THANKS!

1956 corvette interior vinyl trim
My '56 has white vinyl padded trim on the dash and under the windows. does this mean the original had the white seats also?

'56 w/ airplane
I don't think the b/w photo w/ airplane was a GM promotional photo. The '56 never had "thin" whitewall tires as shown in photo.
